If it's not real ice what is it?

The Valley Mall's Ice Rink is crafted with cutting-edge technology, featuring a synthetic ice surface known as "Glice." Glice is an innovative and sustainable alternative to traditional ice, providing an authentic skating experience without the need for water or energy-consuming refrigeration systems.

FAQs

How do I purchase my skating tickets?

Tickets are available, on a first-come/first-serve basis. Tickets may be purchased at the ice rink, but quantities may be limited. We accept all major credit/debit cards.  

*Note: cash transactions will not be available.

Can I get a refund on my ticket once I have purchased a ticket?

No, your ticket is non-refundable and non-transferrable to another day.

What if I buy a ticket and the weather is unfavorable?

We continue to skate in light rain or drizzle. If severe storm conditions are expected, resulting in a venue closure, all ticket purchasers will be notified by email and have the opportunity to reschedule.

Can I enter the venue with my child if I’m not skating?

We welcome non-skaters and request that children under 12 are supervised at all times. If you choose to accompany your child on the ice, you must be in ice skates and have purchased an admission ticket.

Are there any age restrictions?

There is no age restriction. We do expect skaters to be responsible for their own actions. Our Responsibility Code notes that carrying things while skating is one example of an irresponsible action. This would apply to carrying children as well. We do ask that anyone under the age of 12 be accompanied by an adult.

What are the rental skate sizes available?

We have skates from Toddler-8 to Adult-15. As a reminder, reservations do not guarantee that your skate size will be available. Wait times for available skates may occur.

Do I need to wear socks?

Yes.

Can I bring my own ice skates?

Yes, however, depending on location, rental skates are included in the admission pricing, and using personal skates will not be discounted.

Can I bring a hockey stick and puck?

No. Hockey sticks or pucks are not allowed on the ice.

If I bring my own skates, do you offer skate sharpening services?

No. We do not offer sharpening services.

Can I wear my shoes on the ice?

No. Only ice skates are allowed on the ice.

Can you come in to skate, leave for lunch, and then come back afterwards?

No. You are only able to skate during your secured timeframe. We recommend eating prior to or after your skating experience.

What do people do with their purses, backpacks, or shoes while skating?

We do not have lockers. Staff is not allowed to watch or hold your belongings. Please note that Valley Mall is not liable for any lost or stolen property.

Can I have a stroller on the ice?

No.

Can my child wear a helmet?

Just as you make the decision to bring a jacket or gloves, the decision on a helmet should be made prior to arriving at the rink venue. We do not rent or make helmets available.

Do you offer skate aids for toddlers?

We have a limited number of skate aids available for rent.

What should I wear to go ice skating?

Dress appropriately for the weather. 

Can I host a group or private event?

Valley Mall would LOVE to celebrate your big events with you! Please note that discounted group rates for skate tickets are not available. For additional information, please email jbutler@centercal.com. 

Where is the ice rink located?

Where do we park?

Parking is available to customers on a first come, first served basis. 

Will there be any food or drink available?

Our collection of restaurants and quick serve food options can be brought into the rink area.

Are there bathroom facilities in the venue?

There are bathrooms onsite at Valley Mall.

What is the smoking policy?

Smoking; including tobacco or vapor cigarettes is prohibited throughout the Winter Wonderland area.

Is the facility “pet friendly”?

Only service animals are permitted on property. Do not place animals on furniture. Owners must clean up after their pets. Pets are not allowed on the ice.
